Pros

-hybrid but then they just took that away. -daycare on campus but we have to still pay for the daycare use. (No free daycare) -salary was ok until now it’s only 2% increase -Bonus maybe but so small so don’t even notice. -Summer Fridays! Yay! -coworkers are great!

Cons

-not for women. -daycare is expensive and my salary doesn’t help. -no changing tables in the bathroom so if I did bring my kid to work, where do I change them? -we use to have period pads/tampons in the bathrooms before pandemic but now NOPE -salary pay is low, increase are only 2% -promotions don’t exist, you have to apply for an opening if someone leaves. -No longer hybrid 2-3 days now only 1 day if your lucky

Pros

Fun at times with conversations amongst employees

Cons

The pettiness The bad mouthing of current employees or past employees, if the manager was talking about them I am sure she was talking about me Manager gave out her phone number to all employees to contact by text or calls, when I had to text her , her reply back was condescending and not to pleasant. I got an apology the next day. She knew she was wrong She got a bad review because she did not present herself in a positve way when helping a customer, she talked about the previous management I had an upcoming date that I needed off and she knew but she scheduled me for that day anyway I was told there was a review about me apologizing to much? That was a lie, I looked at all the reviews none about me but she had a negative one about her I only apologized to my customers if we did not have a product or we did not fit their expectations Yes I did apologize to some employees, I was in training and learning. Im sure it was the fellow coworkers that complained I do have problems with my right foot and at the moment my nice pair of nikes was providing more comfort to my feet, and was told I needed a drs note? But another employee who his younger was wearing very dirty tennis shoes, not a good look if they a noticably dirty Not good training, barely had any

Pros

-Overall had very good employee perks -flex work -nice campuses - Awesome coworkers and diverse staff - company earned awards for best place to work multiple years, rightfully so.

Cons

New ownership and acquisition of company left many employees feeling very uncertain about employees futures and job security. New acquisition company seems to have a history of big layoffs and closures online. They seemed to have created way too many changes in a short period of time . I ended up leaving because the work environment is too unstable at this time.

Thanks for the review! We are very glad that you enjoyed working at Chico's FAS. At Chico's FAS we value our associates and their contributions to our success. As we continue to navigate our transition into the KnitWell Group family of brands, it is our goal to minimize the impact on our associates. We do understand that with change comes uncertainty in the minds of our associates. We recommend that associates with concerns about the transition speak to their leaders or HR Business Partners.

Benefits are now minimal

Pros

Coworkers are great to work with.

Cons

Pay vs. Industry Standards: Current salaries are significantly below market benchmarks. Reduced Benefits: 401(k) match has decreased. Health insurance costs for employees have increased substantially. No Performance Incentives: No bonuses or merit increases. No pay adjustments for taking on additional departments or higher volume. Policy Changes Affecting Flexibility: Unused vacation hours are no longer paid out. Hybrid employees are now required to work 4 days in-office. Hiring Practices: Preference for external hires over internal growth opportunities. Impact: These changes risk lowering engagement and increasing turnover, especially when competitors offer stronger compensation and flexibility.

Pros

My coworkers were absolutely lovely people. Hard-working, positive, and happy to help women truly look and feel their best.

Cons

I worked for Chico's FAS over 13 years and when I left in good standing they wouldn't even pay out 1 weeks worth of earned PTO. It's disheartening to know that the company I worked so hard for doesn't even practice good corporate citizenship. "Due to a recent policy change Chico's will no longer pay out unused PTO unless required by state law." -The response from Corp when I asked them for my earned PTO. The policy as stated sounds alot like: "We only reimburse earned leave if you can make us" ..... Not addressing the merit of paying employees what they earned contributes to a bad reputation for the company. Is Chicos a reputable company and/or a good place to work? Unfortunately, no. Would you recommend family or friends to work or shop there? Also, no. There are undoubtedly many benefits afforded by Chico's to employees at varying levels of the company that having nothing to do with state law in the multi-states they operate. They are provided by the company because it is good business practice. I say all this instead of talking about the stressful environment, no raises for 2 years (not even a cost of living raise), no bonus or commission when you exceed your sales goals, payroll getting slashed, etc. All of these things are difficult to manage while keeping your team uplifted and on track. But I did it, for years. And after giving notice, leaving in good standing, and being told I'd be welcomed back any time-the company won't do the bare minimum of paying out my PTO.
