      Pros

      Management understands and models human-centered, "work to live, not live to work" values. The staff are mature, friendly and fun people who enjoy working with and serving people. Chico's FAS offers one of the best and most generous employee discounts in the Retail sector (65% on full-priced items, extra 10% off Clearance items, and additional team discounts and gift rewards for high sales achievements). Very flexible work hours with easy methods for updating/changing availability as needed. Use the Dayforce employee scheduling app which is very user friendly.

      Cons

      Part-Time Associates are hourly with a lower pay rate than other cities in North Carolina (starting pay is $12.50 - $13 per hour, depending on previous retail experience). Hours can vary widely every two weeks, so there's no way to predict what your weekly or bi-monthly pay earnings will be. There are no benefits for Part-Time employees other than an employee discount. The promotional posters don't feature models that are reflective of the racial, ethnic and body size diversity of Chico's customer base.

      Lower quality product and escalating prices. Boxy clothes without waistlines. Inefficient business practices. Cost cutting measures cause reduced store presence. Poor business operational practices.

All 3 Chico's FAS brands - Chico's, White House/ Black Market, and Soma provide high quality merchandise at affordable prices to a broad segment o f the population. Our designs are innovative and, in some instances, timeless. At White House/Black Market in particular our clothing is sleek, sophisticated and tailored. At Soma we offer a wide variety of leisure clothing, lingerie and foundational garments all designed to enhance the natural beauty and form of our many customers. At Chico's we offer style and designs to make women look and feel great. In our stores our customers are offered great shopping experiences in stylish environments that showcase our great designs.
