Pros

Management understands and models human-centered, "work to live, not live to work" values. The staff are mature, friendly and fun people who enjoy working with and serving people. Chico's FAS offers one of the best and most generous employee discounts in the Retail sector (65% on full-priced items, extra 10% off Clearance items, and additional team discounts and gift rewards for high sales achievements). Very flexible work hours with easy methods for updating/changing availability as needed. Use the Dayforce employee scheduling app which is very user friendly.

Cons

Part-Time Associates are hourly with a lower pay rate than other cities in North Carolina (starting pay is $12.50 - $13 per hour, depending on previous retail experience). Hours can vary widely every two weeks, so there's no way to predict what your weekly or bi-monthly pay earnings will be. There are no benefits for Part-Time employees other than an employee discount. The promotional posters don't feature models that are reflective of the racial, ethnic and body size diversity of Chico's customer base.

The pettiness The bad mouthing of current employees or past employees, if the manager was talking about them I am sure she was talking about me Manager gave out her phone number to all employees to contact by text or calls, when I had to text her , her reply back was condescending and not to pleasant. I got an apology the next day. She knew she was wrong She got a bad review because she did not present herself in a positve way when helping a customer, she talked about the previous management I had an upcoming date that I needed off and she knew but she scheduled me for that day anyway I was told there was a review about me apologizing to much? That was a lie, I looked at all the reviews none about me but she had a negative one about her I only apologized to my customers if we did not have a product or we did not fit their expectations Yes I did apologize to some employees, I was in training and learning. Im sure it was the fellow coworkers that complained I do have problems with my right foot and at the moment my nice pair of nikes was providing more comfort to my feet, and was told I needed a drs note? But another employee who his younger was wearing very dirty tennis shoes, not a good look if they a noticably dirty Not good training, barely had any
