The opportunity:
We are looking for a talented and driven Global Sourcing Manager to join our Sourcing team, reporting to the Vice President of Global Sourcing. This role is central to leading global strategic sourcing initiatives across a diverse range of Hard Goods and Toys products, ensuring the business is supported by high-quality, cost-effective and compliant supplier partnerships.
You will play a critical role in shaping sourcing strategy, building and managing strong global supplier relationships, and driving commercial outcomes through effective cost negotiation and supplier development. With a strong sense of ownership and protectiveness over product quality and business interests, you will ensure sourcing decisions balance cost, innovation and risk.
This is a highly collaborative and fast-paced role requiring excellent communication skills, high energy and the confidence to influence cross-functional teams and international partners. You will also leverage digital tools, including Excel, Power BI and AI-enabled solutions, to support analysis, reporting and data-driven decision-making, helping the business remain competitive in an evolving global market.
Global Supplier Sourcing & Management
Identify, evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers across key manufacturing regions (China, India, Southeast Asia).
Build strong supplier relationships through regular communication and frequent factory visits.
Assess supplier capabilities and mitigate risks through multi-country sourcing strategies.
Cost Management & Negotiation
Lead supplier negotiations including pricing, MOQs and payment terms.
Conduct cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies to optimise spend.
Product Development & Collaboration
Partner with NPD teams to source innovative materials and cost-effective product solutions.
Work closely with Compliance, QA, Logistics and Supply Chain teams to align sourcing activities with business objectives.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure suppliers meet international compliance and audit standards (ISO, BSCI, SMETA, ICTI etc.).
Market Intelligence
Monitor market trends, raw material costs and geopolitical factors impacting supply chains.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, feedback and structured performance management.
Manage day-to-day operations, including workload planning, recruitment and onboarding.
Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings and performance reviews.
Drive engagement and continuous improvement within the team
10+ years of global sourcing experience within Hard Goods (e.g. lighting, ceramic & stainless-steel housewares, stationery, toys & gifts).
Strong supplier network across key manufacturing hubs (China, South East Asia, India).
Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving supplier performance.
Strong product knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and cost breakdowns.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the energy and confidence to influence multicultural teams and suppliers.
A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to protect product integrity and business interests.
Strong capability in using tools such as Excel, Power BI and AI-based systems to drive analysis, reporting and decision-making.
Good awareness of market trends and cost drivers.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, global environment.
Fluency in English and Mandarin.
Willingness to travel frequently for supplier visits, trade shows and factory audits.
