Pros

Kind of flexible when it comes to remote / hybrid work. It depends a lot on the studio

Cons

-Upper Management / HQ make decisions based on emotional tantrums. One day you are in a project, The other day you are out if they didnt like you and without further justification. Very untrained leaderhip. -Poor organizational structure and workflow -Continuous layoffs since 2023 in several studios -Messing up games with a good base with an aggressive monetization only because "It is the only way they know how to make business" even if that mean ruining any chance the game had to survive the market. -0 Options to promote/grow

Pros

- It’s been a pleasure working with so many kind, talented and passionate people.

Cons

- HQ upper management is awful; they make terrible decisions that have horrible long term effects on their employees but benefit them in the short term - frequent layoffs, sometimes multiple rounds within the same year, which has been happening for years - conflicting business priorities - low salaries compared to similar companies in the same industry and city - benefits package is below average - employees are not recognized for their efforts - little to no opportunities for growth or upward mobility

Pros

No real positive feedback for the studio.

Cons

Mismanaged staff, Immense amounts of stress and chaotic structure due to poor leadership Would not recommend this company for employment. No support or guidance from upper management. No change in previous negative reviews. No team effort or work/life balance which is preached upon commencement. Favourtism for certain disciplines. Very disappointing.

Pros

Company supports staff in both work ethic and family needs. Culture is positive and upper management listen to middle management / staff with recommendations, suggestions or concerns. Career progression is made evident upon starting with the company.

Cons

Sometimes communication can be muddled at times, however upper management is open for clarity.

Pros

- People that work alongside you are helpful and friendly - It's easy to establish good relationships with coworkers, enhancing the overall work experience - STANDARD industry benefits. The company provides industry-standard benefits, neither exceptional nor subpar - Most employees at mid level are willing to take and give feedback and improve on past mistakes.

Cons

- Low Compensation: Salaries tend to be below competitive levels, potentially undervaluing employees' contributions. - Discrepancy in Management's Rhetoric and Actions: Upper management may talk about valuing contributions and support, but their actions do not consistently reflect these sentiments. - Sadly a lot of management and junior employees suffer from a "we make games, we are different" mindset when approaching tasks. This mindset issue can lead to communication challenges and a decrease in product quality, with an unwarranted sense of entitlement to a certain below-industry standard. - Limits to how much you can rapidly grow. They will tell you there are no limits. But there are hard limits to this, which might lead you to not be as motivated in your work.
