Pros

Great working culture. Very inclusive. Lots of company events and freebies. Challenging work. Supportive teams and managers. Autonomy and ownership. Less micro management.

Cons

They have a really bad Human Resource employee who handles expats — really unprofessional, and can't communicate in English that well. Aside from that, in the 4 years I've worked there, the salary increase is so low. I get it that they're trying to make it work with the budget and everyone because I already have a high salary but geez,

Pros

Nice co-workers Free food, free coffee Friday day afternoon off

Cons

The other projects are nice but not the Dreamlight Valley. This project has the worst management ever. It has been like this since the beginning. They kept changing the scope and priorities. The scope of work is vague and too much to do. All of my team mates were and are burnt out !! The top managers dont fit with employees and dont listen at all. They think their staffs just complaining for nothing and they are always right. Very toxic environment. Low, low, low salary

Pros

Job was advertised as hybrid but is effectively fully remote. Both of my managers are amazing, the GM is awesome... I've learned a lot, worked on cool initiatives, and the company culture is really great. No crunch, great balance.

Cons

No cons. This is a good place to be.

Once promising studio got crippled during its attempt to scale up

Pros

- They always play by the law. So it is very unlikely that they will do something wrong to you legally. - They offers many benefits that you won't get (at least all at once) in vietnam's market. - it's a good career starting point. They have huge global resources to learn from, and it looks good on your portfolio. You don't have a lot of chance to work on games of that scale in vietnam's game industry. - it's not as cutthroat as other companies. - Most people there are nice and they have a good culture. - You dont need to worry much if you are from LGBT community, as you will be welcomed and treated normally by most people. Misogyny is not a problem there too. Those who don't got drowned and will likely not show on your face because they are the minority. - Has very flexible working hour and work from home policy, which suits people with family and those who want to take freelance jobs.

Cons

- The base salary is on the lower side of the market. The trade-off is that the jobs are more specialized, - In recent years, due to competitive cost, this studio has the chance to grow and scale up. However, it is met with some problems: + Complexity in budgeting, want to find great talent to expand but doesnt have the money + Old teams and employees got shafted in favor of new talents (especially expats) + Management side are not ready for a scale up + Lots of Inefficiency and incompetency issues + There are multiple factions - If you dislike Gen AI, the manager side in this studio tries to push the AI agenda despite HQ legal team's warning about legal risk and multiple failure from past implementation attempts. - There is a pressure to deliver good revenue while having less people, a.k.a "lean team". - If you are a programmer, depending on the project you will need to OT a few times per week. But the company itself doesn't encourage OT and prefers you to complete your job within standard working hour.
