Pros

- used to be job flexibility before they required you work mandatory overtime of 5 hours per week and unable to use PTO earned prior in order to supplement not being able to work overtime hours. - possibility of working from home once goals are met

Cons

- no job flexibility, see above - asking you to meet unattainable goals. Let me elaborate: they don’t give you any new files to work or give you previously worked files that there is no money left to recover on, and then punish you for not “meeting goal” ( a goal that was unable to be met with no new files. Which means no new money) by making you work mandatory overtime -no communication -no professionalism -supervisors hire friends to become “team leads” (assistant/management) that don’t meet any qualifications other than being the supervisors drinking buddy -commission made on money recovered is less than 1% -upper management does nothing to solve problems, only further delegates more problems with no solution -severe micromanagement issues -NO COMMUNICATION (yes I know I said that twice) -there are a lot of bosses, but no real leaders -promotions given to people based on who they know and not based on qualifications -shady dealings with moving files to people who are considered “top recoverers” that are assigned to other people who needed the files in order to hit their personal goal These are just a few among many. Beware.

Pros

My fellow employees were good folks. Enjoyed the seasonal activities

Cons

Long hours. Lack of support from management. Lack of understanding by management of the number of hours spent overtime and the value brought to the company which was obvious because of the low compensation (2% raises). Benefits are ok but the insurance was a joke. Basically self insured with extremely high deductible.

Thank you for your feedback. Pay for performance, rewards and recognition and company wide communication are on our agenda for 2018. Many branches of the company have experienced improved benefits plans through merger and acquisition and we hope to continue to make beneficial changes that positively impact our employees in the years to come.

Pros

Six percent 401k match, decent health insurance, adequate PTO. Pay is acceptable but not extraordinary. Most supervisors in my department are excellent. You're not likely to hate your boss, just potentially their boss.

Cons

Felt I had found a company that cared when I had joined, but attitudes changed after the merger with Equian. High stress environment with unmanageable workloads. Unrealistic expectations from above while supervisors do everything they can to put out fires and make everyone happy. The people making decisions are too divorced from the realities of the job. Long tenured employees are fleeing my department or burning out and quitting. New processes are making it harder than ever to hit our goals but nothing has been done to adjust our bonus structure.

Thank you for your comments on your experience as an Equian associate. We recognize that there are areas within the Subrogation business segment that are currently experiencing rapid growth and, while we are trying to sustain the growth, we are often faced with meeting consequent staffing challenges in a timely manner. We accommodate as many new associates as our training team can handle to meet the demands of the business so as to eventually alleviate the volume that existing teammates are faced with. Our goal is to get new team members up and running as efficiently and quickly as possible because, again, we recognize the subsequent effects such volume can have on engagement and retention. We seriously appreciate those associates who are committed to the organization and its development because those are the folks who are knocking goals out of the park day-in and day-out. Please feel free to discuss your outlook with your HR representative or a member of your leadership team!
