Pros

Decent salary, good office location, good benefits

Cons

Upper management power hungry, unorganized as new companies came into fold, let go of people that didn't immediately buy into management's ideas.

Pros

- used to be job flexibility before they required you work mandatory overtime of 5 hours per week and unable to use PTO earned prior in order to supplement not being able to work overtime hours. - possibility of working from home once goals are met

Cons

- no job flexibility, see above - asking you to meet unattainable goals. Let me elaborate: they don’t give you any new files to work or give you previously worked files that there is no money left to recover on, and then punish you for not “meeting goal” ( a goal that was unable to be met with no new files. Which means no new money) by making you work mandatory overtime -no communication -no professionalism -supervisors hire friends to become “team leads” (assistant/management) that don’t meet any qualifications other than being the supervisors drinking buddy -commission made on money recovered is less than 1% -upper management does nothing to solve problems, only further delegates more problems with no solution -severe micromanagement issues -NO COMMUNICATION (yes I know I said that twice) -there are a lot of bosses, but no real leaders -promotions given to people based on who they know and not based on qualifications -shady dealings with moving files to people who are considered “top recoverers” that are assigned to other people who needed the files in order to hit their personal goal These are just a few among many. Beware.

Pros

Good benefits, well were better, but still decent. Does a 6% match to your 401k. Throws the left over food to the employees after clients dont eat it all.

Cons

No raises even though we are having record year. Lots of back stabbing office politics. No one is actually tenured longest worker on my team was 4 years maybe, i was one of the longer ones at 2 years before i left.

Pros

Only the salary was good

Cons

Upper management is not friendly nor are they privey to how alot of their employees feel about them but I guess they could care less about the person because it's all about numbers numbers numbers. All employees are scared each and every day of losing their jobs. Once Equian took over the company their employees are just a number on a spreadsheet and they could care less about anything else. If you are a new employee they will let you make goal for a while and you will like it but then it's more and more until you lose your mind and end up a wreck. You will not retire from this company believe me they will get rid of you for one reason or another because they want young new employees in and out. If there are older employees left, they are the ones scared and stressed each and every day.

Thank you for your feedback and the opportunity to respond. We regret that your experience with Equian was not what you had envisioned. While setting and achieving goals are standard and necessary actions across our enterprise, we also place a great deal of value on our associates’ employment experiences and their personal/professional development. Unfortunately, there are circumstances that will occur that results in corrective action, up to and including termination, but the same can be said of any organization. There are teams available within the organization, such as interdepartmental leadership teams, the HR department and the Employment Assistance Program, to assist associates who are dealing with a number of issues, including conflict with members of management. We always encourage open and honest dialog without fear of retribution.

Pros

Great peers! Good location. Ok pay.

Cons

They give you goals that are unrealistic so you don’t make bonus. Upper management does not care about anyone as a person. Only the numbers matter. Some departments are happy, most are miserable.

Pros

flexibility of work hours and being able to work from home. goals are attainable if you actually do your work.

Cons

Equian is a great place to work if you are lucky to be put with a good supervisor. However, if you are one of the unlucky ones, no matter how many issues arise through voicing concerns to upper management and HR nothing will be done. Some supervisors completely lack knowledge and leadership and were placed in the role solely based on tenure. Extreme micromanagement including but not limited to pulling reports of each time you gotten up from your desk.

Pros

If you are in upper management, and come from Equian, it's a decent place. However, most of the rank and file are kept at a low rate of pay.

Cons

Too many to list. Anyone who is not a VP should move on. Pay is terribly low for the amount of work piled on. Management has been told "work them til they squeal"
