Pros

The education and training was top notch, I went in with quite a bit of knowledge already, but left feeling like an expert on terpenes, cannabinoids, and consumption methods.

Cons

It was as bad as working for Walmart in terms of feeling valued, safe, appreciated, or viewed as a human and not just a budtending robot. Management wasn't kind at my store, and said some pretty awful things like shaming us for not being able to afford to opt in to the companies health insurance options (I have a family, maybe it makes sense for single people but it didn't for me and the DM basically called me stupid), or rather aggressively demanding we make long dangerous drives during a snowstorm to get to work ("No excuses for poor planning", even though I was a transplant who had never driven in snow before I had a 50+ minute commute over a bridge where someone died sliding off an ice ramp in to the river mere days after I quit because of the tone of the meeting in reference). It also didn't seem like people stick around long, I wasn't the only one with a short tenure here.

Pros

It paid the bills co-workers

Cons

Nepotism, people are not promoted based on competence rather who they know, no industry discounts, no accountability, expect minimum wage retail employees to also play security guard and maintenance crew. Scheduling is a nightmare, they'll cut your hours without notice.

Good people, bad HR.

Pros

The people working the stores are mostly amazing. Almost everyone senior lead and lower is super great to work with. You can become friends with almost any coworker at any store just by talking about how much you hate nepotism. If they don't get it, then you get to teach them a bit about the company and become friends anyway.

Cons

HR is so mean, and I thought it was just because they didn't like me but I have asked around and they are mean to everyone. They also don't really seem to read or understand some emails. They will send a reply that asks for information contained in your first email. It feels like talking to a poorly written AI alot of the time. I was straight up lied to in a very roundabout way while I was trying to make major financial decisions and it cost me several hundred. They also insulted me when I broke down crying in an email to them but maybe I am giving too many details here they might figure me out. I heard when I got hired that HR spends most of their time creeping on the social media posts of people who work at the company and trying to track down employees who write negative reviews. I know I am not the only one with a tale like this. They will refuse to answer questions if their answer will require them to do work that they think they can get away with not doing. Also, one of the roaming leads that works at all stores was caught stealing tips. Not only does he still work here, THEY DO NOT WARN YOU BEFORE YOU SHARE A SHIFT WITH A KNOWN TIP THIEF, also they had little to no repercussions because I worked with them multiple times these past few months before I found out about it and I was letting them count my tips. Also their policies cannot be trusted one bit. It is how THEY choose to interpret it AT THE TIME. It could say in plain english "Employees get 100 dollars extra per shift for wearing a solid black T-shirt" and they will deny your solid black T-shirt and it will take several emails of questioning to find out it's because they don't like the stitch pattern but your buddy, who also works for Nectar at a different store and was answered by a different member of HR, will get the exact same shirt approved instanly.

Pros

My co workers were mostly all pretty charming. The employee discount was ok-ish (30% , but often there were other deals that were better than that one happening so not always worth it). The job could be pretty fun when it's just helping people shop for the perfect product, you learn your regulars and what they like pretty quickly and easy to establish good rapport.

Cons

Management is a real mess. Poor communication, rampant favoritism, employees are told they can rise up and be moved to other stores for their convenience but in reality the higher ups are blatantly uncaring to the concerns and complaints of their employees and don't seem to mind lying right to your face. This isn't relegated to one or two of the stores. Complaints roll in from every location. Employee safety is not a concern nor is their mental health. Robberies are frequent, sexual/racial/ and other forms of harassment from other employees and managers is often not dealt with quickly or sometimes at all, as they opt instead to move problematic people around and cause multiple innocent people damage instead of dropping the abuser once they are exposed. Dangerous or threatening customers are allowed to mistreat people multiple times before they will actually ban them, and management will often fight you over wanting to ban people who make you feel unsafe. Over working, unequal treatment of employees, and hypocrisy are so common place it's accepted as the norm for working there and while your being criticized for your every mistake, your higher ups are wandering around playing pokemon go and smoking joints while chit chatting with the managers for several hours while they're employees are getting slammed and then they have the audacity to brag about it when they get back. It's absolutely not worth it.

Terribly awful management full of nepotism. Greedy owners who could care less about the people who make them all their money. Monopolized the industry by opening too many stores and creating crappy products.
