Pros

Best medical benefits ever seen Lunch subsidy is good Most colleagues are nice The folks from campus operations, gym, social committee (basically James Middleditch's team or people under his purview) are amazingly dedicated people

Cons

Where to even start... there is no meritocracy to speak of. If you are a French speaker or your manager likes you, limited rules apply to you. Diversity is dropping in some campuses like Singapore but that's not the school's fault, it is government policy. HR has zero relevant experience in real world settings - Ever since they introduced a shocking poorly executed compa-ratio policy when discussing remuneration in 2024, most long serving staff that have stuck with the school through COVID and all the difficult times get ZERO increment due to salaries being forced into a band, leading staff retention to drop to an all-time low. If you are a new joiner and negotiate a good package to join, bear in mind the compa-ratio policy means you will not get a pay raise for at least 3-5 years or until you quit. All the good people from the past 10 years have quit or are in the process of finding a new job. INSEAD's work culture has gone down the toilet bowl since Francisco Veloso took over from Ilian Mihov. People who get promoted now are not the performing ones, but rather the ones who are good at carrying balls. If you want to keep your job, make sure you do not whistleblow on any wrongdoing even if it happens in front of you, especially if it is done by top management. We had a popular ex-colleague (brit guy) in talent acquisition who can attest to this. There are also some departments in degree programmes who are haemorrhaging long-serving staff faster than ice cream melts in Singapore due to the wonderful "leadership" on display. Current INSEAD leadership probably got confused and think that they are working at INEOS and not INSEAD, as they are sinking the school's work culture faster than Jim Ratcliffe is destroying Manchester United.

Pros

The medical benefits for both individuals and dependents are excellent. You can work with peace of mind, knowing that all your health needs are well taken care of.

Cons

The work environment has significant challenges, including a perception of favoritism in promotions, which often seem to be influenced by personal relationships rather than merit. This can create a sense of frustration among employees who feel that their skills and competencies are not adequately recognized. I observed a colleague in the IT department who faced difficulties, including what appeared to be verbal harassment during performance reviews. This situation raised concerns about the fairness of the review process, particularly regarding the influence of management. There seems to be a trend of prioritizing certain hiring practices that may not fully consider a diverse range of candidates, which could limit opportunities for local and international applicants. Additionally, there are inconsistencies in adhering to HR policies, such as the requirement for employees to be in the office three days a week. Some team members have been observed arriving late or only coming in sporadically, which can impact team dynamics and productivity. Overall, the culture could benefit from improvements in communication and accountability to foster a more inclusive and supportive work environment.

Pros

INSEAD offers very comprehensive medical benefits, up to 1.65 million annual maximum cap. Coverage extends to your spouse and your child EACH having 1.65million cap. - Hospital charges, surgical procedures, physiotherapy etc can be claimed in full. - Outpatient Healthcare annual maximum up to 15K per year. - Maternity Benefits paid up to 60K per year for complicated in patient and complicated out patient. - Routine physical Exams/Papsmear/ Prostate cancer screening/Mammograms up to 1.2K per year Dental coverage - up to 2K per year There are exclusions too which you have to read in the plan. Leave coverage is decent: - 18 days for your 1-2 year, - 21 days after 2 years, - 25 days after 5 years INSEAD does job mapping so the salary reimbursed is pretty competitive and fair compared to other local companies who try to push down your salary in my opinion. I would say this company is a good place to work in if you have children as the medical benefits is very competitive.

Cons

Depending which department you're in but its generally quite hard to get promoted in here due to the nature of the job roles.

Slow progression unless you're in a customer-facing/sales role. Lots of internal coordination issues.
