I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Arup (London, England)
Interview
No briefing in terms of length of interview, agenda, format, despite multiple requests during the application process.
All of a sudden, a request to meet face to face was received, but with just 36hrs notice. Note, no telephone interview had taken place yet.
Interviewee requested for a phonecall when I turned up to the office. I called 7min prior to the agreed interview start time. He didn't answer. I left a voicemail. I called a few minutes later, and was greeted with a SMS response " I cannot talk right now". 15min later, he turned up.
Interviewee had no idea where I currently work, and did not have my CV to hand during the interview. Underprepared?
First impressions count! Whole episode felt like a waste of everyone's time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Arup (Milan) in Mar 2023
Interview
First interview was with HR , team lead and one team member. talking about non-technical topics. they were really positive and it was a positive experience. The position was not suitable for me though.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Arup in Aug 2021
Interview
Had initial phone screen, very straight-forward, get-to-know-you questions. Was told I would hear back about second interview within a week. Never heard back even though I followed up 2+ times.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Arup (Sydney) in Feb 2019
Interview
Had a phone interview with HR, in which the HR contact said I sounded great and said she'd check with her colleagues about salary and let me know. Even after a polite follow-up email I never heard back, which is disappointing and misleading given I was given positive feedback.
