At Elsevier, we understand that life can be challenging at times. So, we stepped up to help our people deal with some of the pandemic's challenges unleashed in India recently. MiTR, our EAP in India, ensures that our people and their families are provided much-needed help in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, etc. Beyond COVID-19 related issues, we provided the helpline access for emotional support because of the overwhelming circumstances some of our people and their loved ones found themselves. As much as the focus on mental health increased, the acknowledgement through the services became key to ensure access to resources, especially as resources became scarce. To help combat the wave of misinformation about the virus and support our customers, Elsevier launched the India Covid-19 Healthcare Hub, a new COVID-19 Hub specifically developed for India. The website includes short synoptic clinical overviews

How Elsevier helped me regain trust and comfort in “corporate America” - Derrick Walker I needed to find a company that welcomed cultural difference; I finally came across Elsevier. With an amazing support system, the journey of hurdling the obstacles of limited resources — and knocking down doors of opportunities — seemed well worth the effort. Elsevier celebrates freedom with the commemoration of Juneteenth. On June 19, 1865, slavery was abolished in the state of Texas. This day signifies the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved in the USA. We’re proud to support our Black & African American employees and continue to work to create an even more inclusive culture. Juneteenth is a reminder that while the nation has made progress, we must continue to work to ensure equality, freedom, and justice for all. #Juneteenth #elsevier #Diversity #Inclusion #DEI

"My team and I designed the Developing Female Talent Program at Elsevier with the goal of empowering, connecting, and advancing women leaders across Elsevier because diverse leadership drives innovation. The outcome was not only a success in terms of the objectives for the program participants and the business, but for myself as a leader within HR. The program clearly demonstrated how empowering our Talent and creating a networking platform can truly create positive change within organizations. We’re still very much on the journey, but this has been an inspiring process for everyone involved and has helped us accelerate progress. I am looking forward to continuing the momentum doing even more in this space." - Amanda Kunevich, VP Talent Development, Human Resources, Elsevier.
