Pros
So many customers/users you could potentially impact
Cons
1) Waterfall culture, I was directed to implement spyware into the app to spy on consumers without their knowledge (video recording) this was led by Director of Mobile Apps and Head Of Mobile apps, whom should have nothing to do with consumer software. 2) No-one knows anything about product management and you won't be able to be a product manager as people are stuck in their ways. They used to be project managers and the new CPO gave everyone a Product Manager title. 3) A/B Testing, the CPO directed the company start doing testing for all launches which is great! But my manager, head of mobile apps and other senior pm's spent more time trying to fix results to get pay rises and promotions rather than actually learning from results and improving product. 4) Toxic culture, I was not prepared for my mental health to be ruined. As a Product Manager I was directed to launch a marketing campaign in 4 weeks and install a new API to track data, without the collaboration of marketing/sales. I would hear the Head Of Mobile talk negatively about people with asian accents. They did not understand product led growth vs marketing ad spend growth.
