Pros
Tigera has a great culture. By that, I mean there's always an air of positivity, optimism and collaboration rather than toxicity and nepotism. The people are easy to work with, supportive and open to feedback. Here are some of the highlights being here for a few months:
- Plenty of learning opportunities, never a shortage of things to know
- Work with some cutting edge technologies (Kubernetes, Cloud) which are highly in demand technical skills
- Talented engineering team willing to help and learn from each other, you get assigned a buddy when you first onboard
- Focused, empathetic and transparent leadership team, provides weekly updates and open Q&A!
- Regular events and lunches, remote workers have ways to get to know people in other locations to not feel secluded
- Testing is not seen as an afterthought, quality is very much a shared responsibility here.
Cons
- Work may seem fast-paced at times if you prefer stability vs growth
- Diversity - but leadership is aware and actively investing towards making this better
- I believe the current onboarding process can have some areas to be revamped or improved as the company grows. This will ensure there is a level playing field of relevant prerequisite knowledge of concepts and products for an employee to be successful.
