Pros
Great people, lots of growth, decent benefits. There are a lot of mentorship programs opportunities to help in the community.
Cons
In the last two years there has been unprecedented turnover in branch operations. Regional managers beat you up over numbers and goals. Focus is on sales, not people. When branch management questions an initiative or says something isn't working, we are called complainers and told not to give excuses. It's more like a Wall Street boiler room than the friendly credit union it started out as and had been for sixty years. Anyone over 30 with experience and empathy is jumping ship. Branches will never have the longevity of management that members are used to; they burn everyone out. People that have been here ten years or more are getting pushed out the door by inexperienced 25 year olds who could sell a dog off a meat wagon but can't see the forest for the trees.
