Pros

Decent company and good people. Good base and relatively stable.

Cons

Communication and decisions from top management. Poor handling of people has forced people to quit in one branch

Pros

Working at the company was great. Great people. I was happy with my job. I got to be involved in interesting projects and activities outside of my job.

Cons

They tout this $0 healthcare that isn't real. Well, nearly 1 year after leaving I am still working though claims with this $0 healthcare that show up on my credit reports. If you take a job here, don't take the medical coverage.

Pros

I tried to be honest about it, but I genuinely couldn’t identify anything positive.

Cons

Misalignment in Commission Structure The commission scheme was presented attractively during recruitment; however, the actual payout fell short of expectations after CPF deductions. Ineffective Leadership Leadership at the AM level appeared to be driven more by internal politics than collaboration, with frequent tensions across departments. Lack of Centralized Direction In the absence of an overall Head of Department, individual AMs tended to operate in silos, resulting in power struggles rather than aligned leadership. Limited Management Capability Many in leadership roles lacked formal training in people management, which affected team development and decision-making quality. Highly Controlling Work Environment Although autonomy was communicated, in practice the environment leaned toward close supervision and limited independence. Insufficient Back end Support Operational support from back end teams was minimal, requiring front line staff to handle extensive administrative follow-ups. Blurred Professional Boundaries Interpersonal relationships within the office occasionally created complexities that impacted the working environment. Challenging Industry Outlook The industry showed limited growth prospects, contributing to a generally pessimistic atmosphere. Limited Compensation Growth Salary progression was modest, with increments being relatively small. Remote and Risk-Prone Location The work location was isolated and posed certain safety considerations.

Pros

Was free healthcare when I was there. Occasionally worked from home.

Cons

Made no sense but managers were able to work from home more than the people they managed. There’s no reason this should not be a 100% remote position with the exception of orientation

Toxic culture driven by internal politics

Pros

Friendly colleagues with different backgrounds. Most people are supportive at the team level, and there’s a lot of informal knowledge sharing behind the scenes.

Cons

A small group of senior leaders operate more like an internal cartel, making decisions behind closed doors, often influenced by hearsay and personal bias rather than facts or structured evaluation. It creates a toxic environment where fear overrides fairness. While the company claims to have a “speak up” culture, in reality, people stay silent out of fear of retaliation or career damage. Teams talk openly among themselves when leadership isn’t around, but no one feels safe addressing issues through formal channels. The Speak Up system is fundamentally broken: if you report unfair treatment, the issue is quietly redirected to the person you reported. A simple denial from them is usually enough, not only to dismiss the concern, but to paint the person who raised it as the problem.

Lousy Leadership

Recommend

Business outlook

Pros

Pay is good, they have some flexibility. That’s about it.

Cons

Working here was deeply frustrating due to a combination of poor communication, misguided leadership, and a complete disregard for employee well-being. The company frequently implemented structural reorganizations without offering employees any choice or input regarding new roles—resulting in misplaced talent, diminished confidence, and decreased productivity. While Konecranes takes pride in promoting physical safety for technicians, that concern does not extend to mental health for the office workers. Requests to switch to positions where employees would feel more competent and comfortable were ignored, even when it was clear it would benefit both morale and performance. Communication from leadership was minimal to nonexistent, leaving employees in the dark about major decisions and basic operations. It often felt like leadership lacked a cohesive understanding of what was happening on the ground. Office attendance was erratic at best, with people coming and going based on mood rather than any set expectations—further eroding accountability and morale. If you're considering a position here, be prepared for instability, disconnection, and a culture that fails to value or support its people in meaningful ways.

New US Management is Terrible!

Pros

Healthcare plan is great, chance to interact with many people globally if you are high enough of a position. Managers are hit and miss, depends on your region but I had generally positive experiences with Inside Sales Managers.

Cons

No work from home time for most people, New management for US sales came in and messed up the culture. Fired people seemingly at random, changed the entire organizational manager structure, and did so while delaying movement to a much needed larger office. Everyone left just feels scared and is holding out while they find something else.

Stay Away!

Pros

Customers. Most of them are really decent people who work hard at thier jobs and pleasant to deal with. Benefits are pretty decent.

Cons

I really hate giving one star and not something I do often. Typical corporate America. Feels like you work for the Royal family or something. Very shady, ignorant, uncaring managers. All about numbers all day everyday and will nag you constantly and its never enough. Whether your below target or above it they will nag you just the same. Things are constantly changing without any kind of planning whatsoever. They tell you one thing then do another. When whatever great, earth shattering, best thing since sliced bread plan they are implementing flops it's never thier fault it's yours! Guess who loses thier job when that happens. You do! They pit sales people against each other fighting for the same work in the same territory. I have never seen this anywhere else. Doesn't sound like a solid plan for keeping people happy. As you may have guessed, do not expect your manager to go to bat for you either. Not sure why anyone would want to work here you will get frustrated quickly, feel anxious and depressed, and hate it especially if you actually care and are doing what you were hired to do. They do not care!
