Pros

- Work from home/office flexibility. - Attractive compensation for taking up extra work/project voluntarily (i.e. overtime pay). - Good and supportive colleagues in the office that I was based in. - Quarterly bonus in 2021 (which is no longer distributed this year). - Wellness day off and flexible Friday off (but some members of other offices seem to be taking advantage of this by "forcing" those day offs instead of providing the support needed).

Cons

Operation and Management: - The company's Diligence Department is going downhill these days. QA arrangement is chaotic, which resulted in deteriorating report quality and frequent missed deadlines (and exodus of clients in the long run I believe). - Content reviewers are assigned to review reports in language that they do not speak; some reviewers seem to lack sense of responsibility as they make minimal efforts to improve report quality or check the findings (which ended up having reports with inaccurate research findings or write-ups delivered to clients); and some of them never revisit the reviewed reports to make sure that researchers have made revisions as required. - The senior management do not seem to be interested in fixing this (despite Diligence being the company's money-making department) because they are too focused on the company's tech development for supply chain risk management and its contract with the US gov. Understand that tech is a BIG thing in this era, but I reckon a successful company should be able to take good care of or pay sufficient attention to all its business lines. - The company is also not good at promoting the right persons. People who are merely good with words and nothing more are promoted although they are not technically qualified or capable. Such phenomenon is somewhat common in many mediocre companies unfortunately because the squeaky wheel gets the grease, which is why certain members in this company will urge impractical changes to SOPs just to make themselves seen when they're yearning for promotion, even though those changes are not constructive and will actually complicate and slacken things; while the senior management tend to impose plans proposed by these members before the plans are carefully thought out operationally. HR Support: Sadly, the company's HR is never supportive nor helpful as most of them are not responsive. You will need to send at least several follow-up emails before you get a less than helpful reply from them, and then wait for weeks before they are able to address your basic needs as an employee (if you're lucky). Perhaps they are too occupied with the tasks assigned directly by or answering emails from their managers or senior management that they have no time for low-ranking employees as helping these employees does not contribute to their KPIs? Pay: The starting pay was slightly above average but salary increment for annual adjustment and promotion is minimal after you join, which attests to one of the earlier reviews that the company is not interested in keeping you for more than two years.
