Pros

Remote work. That’s literally all.

Cons

Where do I start let’s see hm well to start off I was completely lied to and sold a completely different job then I one I have. I was also told I was going to be guaranteed commission during ramp my first 3 months by my recruiter. 2nd day on the job Zillow has me sign an “updated comp plan” (I have now signed 3 different updated comp plans and I’ve only been employed here for 3 Months what does that tell ya!?!) well that comp plan I was forced to sign made it effective immediately that my guarantee pay while in ramp was no longer going to be paid out to me. Pretty sure Zillow is the slimiest company I’ve ever worked for. Pretty sad since I worked so hard to crush the interview only to be offered a terrible base pay (with no room to negotiate) I took this pay believing in the company I was going to be working for that I would work my way up be promoted etc like I have at all of my previous companies before. Now I cannot wait to get OUT. Then they turn around and say better then expected results on the earnings call lol let me be frank: showing time is an absolute nightmare and a sinking ship at best. Agents do not want this product it’s pointless and a total money grab it does NOTHING agents literally laugh and hang up on you when you have to dial over 100 times a day down the same list every other rep is calling down calling the same annoyed agents over and over again. It’s the worst job ever. I consider myself a professional sales person with over a decade of tech sales experience and this job is the most entry level position I’ve ever had. It’s embarrassing the management is even worse then the role itself if that’s even possible. My own manager who got Hired the exact same training class as I did but yet she’s my “manager” if you can call her that. She doesn’t know anything else to say except: dial dial dial! She literally is the wicked witch of the west with flying monkeys! When I ask for her help she directs me to “high spot” documents. She also just soley believes dailing more will solve everything. It’s almost laughable how measly the pay, how much this job is a micromanaging entry level dial your face off and make close to nothing in comission when you do close something, how impossible the product is to sell since it’s absolutely garbage and how no one wants it, oh and did I mention they are interviewing every single day since they already know it’s a swinging door? Total trash. Zillow, do better. Your employees hate you! real estate agents hate you!! Take the hint.

Pros

You can make good money here.

Cons

In sales, job can change often. For example: I was making good money and excelling because I am a relationship Sales person. Then they changed it to where you get the sale, and instead of being able to grow that account via that relationship you just broke into, you have to pass it to an account manager and go back to cold/robo calling. You "book" of business you recive to prospect from is a lottery. I received a book of prospects/accounts that most of the were low income, or senior living properties. They don't have a budget and have a line of renter on a waitlist. No way to convince them to spend money on advertising but you still have the same quota.
