Pros

The Ritz-Carlton name looks good on a resume The insurance and hotel discount are good.

Cons

Use of J-1 workers results in fewer hours for American workers, and the J-1s themselves are over worked and underpaid. They say they promote from within, but many positions have been filled by newcomers instead. They claim to be involved in community, but when Irma hit they turned us down for help. The management over the resturaunt has lowered moral so much that over 8 people have left in 2 weeks. They hire for one position then have you work something else.

Pros

Hotel Benefits would convenient at times

Cons

Horrible to work at the Ritz Carlton Boston. I was terminated because someone decided to report me they I was nodding off briefly in the office. They first suspended me with a notice explaining my suspension and then they terminated me with a different notice with the summary of that notice not matching up with the suspension notice. Human Resources lied to me and told me that the reason they found out I nodded off was because they were reviewing footage for something and just happened to come across me on camera which does not add up to the two statements I received. Cafeteria food was terrible. You would think a five star hotel would cook better food. Sometimes the food was burnt and did not taste good at all!!!
