Pros

False perception of brand name

Cons

1) No Work life balance - Late nights ( 10pm 12am), weekends, public holidays, No leaves. Is extremely common. -Managers have the indecency to call up any hours and ask work 2) Extreme pressure - Small team, stringent unrealistic deadlines, heavy work adds to the pressure. 3) Highly incompetent HR: - Only hired for admin work - Has no interest or intent on employee well being - Yoga/diets etc mails but the emoloyee survey mails are pressed and not discussed 4) Highly incompetent Managers and senior management: - No knowledge about process - Only hired to apparently "look" at data. Zero knowledge of process - All work load pushed on SREs and REs 5) Promotions not based on meritocracy - incompetent people have been promoted and awarded - The good ones not promoted for as long as 2 to 3 years -False promises also made 6) Poor compensation - No hikes - Incentives only for managers - No monetory benefits to people working OT or on weekends - Profitation through exploitation 7) Very High attrition rate: - Due to the above reasons many have left. - Senior management least bothered 8) False promotion on Linkedin - Dont beliebe any stuff you see on linkedin

Pros

Absolutley nothing. Which is a tragedy, because Nielsen was once an absolutely great place to work. I wanted to retire here. The culture used to be great, and I really loved being a part of this place. I loved my team, my management, and the people. Then along came the current CEO who is the classic example of a person who knows the cost of everything, but the value of nothing. He took over and ran the company full speed ahead in to the iceberg. And to try and save the sinking ship, he laid off literally thousands of highly experienced, highly trained, and highly engaged people to replace them with fresh overseas hires who know nothing about the company and expect them to be trained from the ground up to replace literally centuries of collective expererience and client relations. It's a disaster. This CEO shouldn't be trusted to run a lemonade stand.

Cons

Everything. Pay, job security, culture, management. Nothing is good here anymore. Don't take a job here unless you are truly desperate. And even then, it should only be as a stop-gap until you can find something else.
