Good work culture, decent pay. Work from office does not make sense with no parking. - Product Manager III Expedia Group Employee Review

Pros

Great office space, in a prime building on NH48. Workstations are very modern and Washrooms are clean. Decent pay when you enter if you negotiate well. Good food in cafes and vending machines. Company provides food for free effectively. Gala lunch every month is something to vie for.

Cons

Parking is a huge issue and deal breaker to come to office. There are very small number of spots that gets taken up by 9 AM in the morning. Hikes are very minimal like any MNC, you negotiate best pay when you enter. Later you won't get hikes (average is 6-8%). Promotions are bottlenecked by insecure local Indian leaders (product or engg.) US West Coast meetings until 10 or 11 pm becomes an everyday affair in some time. Work culture is decent, every team is doing/trying to do, the same AI work and that is a bit lack of structure.

Pros

I really love working at Expedia. The perks and benefits are great and I feel like I have just the right amount of work life balance. I feel fortunate to have a manager that listens to my goals and aspirations and does their best to find a path forward.

Cons

I’ve found the promotion cycle to be quite difficult to navigate, with promises made and often overlooked. To get a promotion, you have to work extremely hard to get visibility across the board often outside your remit.

Pros

Good pay, supportive manager, and genuinely pleasant colleagues.

Cons

Frequent reorgs and shifting strategic direction made it difficult to build momentum or plan long‑term. Over time, contractor roles became increasingly narrow and production‑focused, which limited opportunities for meaningful skill development. Responsibilities that originally included project management were reduced to primarily email production work. There’s also a broader corporate pattern where work is expected to be completed exactly as written, with little room for judgment or improvement. Even small, quick optimizations can lead to pushback rather than appreciation, creating an environment where going “above and beyond” requires multiple layers of approval — which defeats the purpose of being proactive in the first place. Finally, there’s an in‑office expectation (less strict than for full‑time employees, but still present) for work that can be done entirely remotely. This tends to benefit highly social personalities, but for those who prefer focused, independent work, it feels unnecessary. Social dynamics also play a noticeable role; if you’re not immediately well‑liked or you make a single early mistake, it can create a self‑fulfilling perception that’s difficult to overcome.
