Pros
My immediate team and direct manager were incredibly supportive and genuinely cared about my growth and success. Flexible work hours and solid benefits package. Company brand and name recognition can open doors.
Cons
The company operates like a staffing agency rather than a true engineering firm. Finding meaningful technical work can be a struggle unless you’re already plugged into a well-funded program. Lack of internal mobility — even applying to dozens of internal roles often results in zero responses, even with clearance and strong credentials. Career growth and stability are tightly linked to billability, and when programs end or shift, you can be left scrambling without meaningful support. Engineering orgs and flagship labs often operate in silos, and basic infrastructure requests (like test equipment or lab access) can take months due to a painfully slow procurement process.
