Pros

One thing I genuinely appreciated was that the C-suite seemed invested in keeping everyone in the loop. The monthly town halls felt like more than just a formality and gave you a real sense of where the company was headed. When you had a good stretch, people noticed. The company feels like it has real momentum and on a macro level.

Cons

Leadership was inconsistent in my experience and seemed to depend heavily on which manager you ended up with. It often felt like luck of the draw. I personally found the planning process to be more reactive than strategic, with urgency only kicking in once results were already suffering rather than getting ahead of it. The workplace culture also had a gossip element that I found draining over time. My biggest frustration was around performance recognition. I observed situations where reported numbers didn't seem to reflect reality, yet the consequences appeared minimal at best. I would have liked to see more transparency and accountability around how top performers were identified and rewarded, because in my experience the current approach didn't always feel equitable to those who were playing by the rules.

Pros

Leadership is strong Clear expectations Set me up for my next job well. Product is cool My direct manager cared about my wellbeing and career.

Cons

The company has had a lot of change and sales turnover impacted my goal attainment but that's true everywhere Growth for SDRs into Sales is hard, left because of that.

Pros

They provided a very nice Nike branded quarter zip as well as notebooks and other stationary. Anaplan software is a good solution for corporations that have sales teams that need to manage quota, territory and segmentation. However, when it comes to finance use cases, the software is underwhelming.

Cons

On a team of 10 people, all five that were terminated were over 50 years old. All were geographically disperse in New York, Florida, California, Washington, and Colorado. Lower and mid-level managers are dishonest and unethical while playing favorites with the balance of the team. These managers are not servant leaders, and they do not even mentor as they are typically ghosts. When dealing with existing clients, there were the constant headaches of dealing with their lack of storage and slowness of the application anytime trying to run a calculation. Unfortunately, the only way to solve this was to present an upsell opportunity and sell them more software which they didn’t need, but was required for storage. What I found most interesting was the perpetual professional service agreements that the customers had to have in place in order to do basic things like creating reports which is quite different than how the software is marketed.

Pros

Product is great and can lead to some easy wins and good conversations. The frontline managers are great and the other SDRs were nice to work with.

Cons

Low quota attainment and the SDR program lack a strong culture, including a chance to grow in the company.

Pros

The product is great. Truly a beneficial product for our customers to see a big ROI.

Cons

If you're considering joining this company, especially in a sales capacity, I’d strongly advise you to think twice. During my time here (over two years), I’ve seen a revolving door of talent — I’ve had four different managers and watched eight teammates leave, many of them top performers. The turnover is a direct result of unrealistic compensation metrics, extreme micromanagement, and a culture that shows little to no regard for employee well-being or career development. Leadership seems more focused on controlling day-to-day tasks than empowering teams to succeed. The targets are often misaligned with the market realities, making it nearly impossible to hit goals without burning out. If you’re looking to grow, develop professionally, and be treated with respect, this is not the place. In fact, joining may feel more like a step backward in your career than forward.

Pros

Product is the most reliable and nimble enterprise planning and modeling solution in the market. Solid partner ecosystem for the size company, which helps with GTM and credibility with risk averse buyers. Experienced client success managers and nimble boutique partner ecosystem aids in keeping clients very happy.

Cons

Many layers have been created in the last 6 ish months. Experienced some disrepect from mid-level managers, but believe that the solid leaders will coach them. Large partner strategy needs re-haul. Client success has had lots of turnover due to new management and caused client disruption.

Pros

1) Compensation - The cash portion of compensation is amazing and high (exclude the equity for now) 2) Remote Work - The ability to work remote and travel all over the world this year. In the past 2 months, I've worked in 8 different places! 3) Managers - The managers care about their employees, growth, and work life balance. I've had 3 of the best managers in my life at Anaplan! 4) Management - The management is experienced, knowledgable, and care about wellbeing of employees + customers. The management team has created an extremely positive culture that values customers and employees! 5) Career Growth - Incredible opportunity to learn, add new skills, and grow in your career because Anaplan is investing in it's employees. Anaplan has sponsored me for multiple professional trainings and certifications that I wouldn't have done without Anaplan!

Cons

The equity portion of compensation is illiquid, but employees get a lot of equity when they join, and we get more equity at regular refresh periods. The equity might be illiquid, but it is worth a lot and has a beneficial tax structure.

Pros

Depending on your team, this company can be great for coasting. Lack of strong middle managers means that IC's can do the bare minimum and still get by. If you don't care about your work product, then this is the company for you as no one will hold you accountable.

Cons

Lack of clearly defined business processes. In sufficient partnership. Many individuals with lack of regard for operational excellence or following the rules. Many low morale employees
