Yes. I am used to having to have my ad copy critiqued and reviewed by compliance and legal. This is why I am so concerned about the Series 7 requirement. Part of the licensing process is learning about what can and cannot be said in marketing materials. Less

I have over a decade of experience working in communications, marketing and creative content and explained my experiences, skills and accolades I’ve received over the years and how I can utilize them to fulfill this position and it’s responsibilities since it’s both communications and marketing. 2. I am a list person and I backwards plan from the hard deadline. I set up mini deadlines for myself to meet for each project to keep organized and on schedule and communicate with my team on each project. I try to fulfill all requests but I am also transparent on my workload if I can accept another project, or have assistance helping me for smaller tasks as I prefer quality over quantity and there is only so many hours in a day. If it’s a crisis situation, that is obviously a special circumstance that takes priority attention, but hopefully I would have built strong personal relations with my coworkers that they would understand I have everyone’s best interest at heart. 3. I have - I provided two very different examples using the SMART method. 4. I am not embedded with local media since I recently moved to Jacksonville, however I had been freelancing with local media and building my own personal relationships that way. However in the phone interview I was told a former director established strong ties to local media and the most recent director kept them in tact. I responded that I knew how important it is to establish and maintain those strong connections and then provide specific examples of my strong local media connection in my previous state and job. 5. I listed my strength (communicating) and weakness (perfectionist) and provided information on how my strength directly helps the position I am applying for. For weakness, I explained how I’m working on not sweating the small stuff that is out of my control. 6. I have a personal connection to AHA and volunteered or participated in Heart Walk in two previous states and really enjoyed the impact it was making on the community in which I live and am raising my family and used that as my response. I provided an example of my mom’s health scare as well as a former college basketball player who discovered she had a hole in her heart that she most likely was born with and so she never got to play a minute of college ball. She remained on scholarship, and Coach asked me to take her under my wing in the video dept. She became our team personality host, which was the start to our lifestyle brand. When she was finally ready to talk, we did a video piece on her health situation that received an award. The executive director asked for the link as she’s love to watch it - once I’m connected to her during my onboard process I’ll be able to send her the link. With every response you give, try to include an example of how you did something, and make sure it relates to the position you’re interviewing for. Less
