Phone screen (very pleasant) then an onsite interview. At the last minute, they substituted two senior execs for one person who had been with Zillow for 2 months and another who had been on the team for 3 months. It was obvious both interviewers were very inexperienced. I flew in on my own dime for the interview and before I even sat down they informed me that I would not be meeting with everyone that was on my confirmation email and that the interview would be only 45 minutes, not the 4 hours that was initially scheduled (I'm guessing because it was the Friday before a holiday weekend and they wanted to leave early). They also didn't allow me to ask all of my questions at the end. One of them felt bad an offered me the option of emailing any additional questions. I did send additional questions but she never answered them. The other interviewer did respond to my questions but it took 5 days for his response. I had to follow up several times regarding their decision. The recruiter for the position was unresponsive so I reached out on Linkedin to the recruiter who referred me and he got in touch with her. It took a total of 2 weeks for them to get back to me with an answer. Thank goodness I had this experience and did not actually end up workin for this team. I still love Zillow as a company, but greatful that I didn't end up working with that team.
