I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yelp in Jan 2011
Interview
Applied online. Was contacted by e-mail a week later to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was very easy and consisted of general interview questions, like why Yelp? From there, we then scheduled a panel interview date. The panel consisted of three people, one after another, with each interview becoming more difficult. There was a lot of role play and I thought I did alright, despite being nervous throughout. However, I did not get the job offer and it may be due to my lack of sales exerience.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
