I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
The entire process for 3 interviews was approximately 3 weeks. I had a phone interview of about 10 minutes. Then a week later was asked to come in for two interviews with separate HR recruiters. Upon arriving to the Yelp office in SF, I was given a tour. Then I was taken to a conference room where each interview was held. Each person from Yelp took notes during the interview. The were both friendly and made me feel comfortable aside from the role play which can be a bit uncomfortable when put on the spot.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Role play with two separate interviewees. Also was asked how my customer service experience would help me in calling clients over the phone without face to face interaction. They seem to focus a lot on cold calling, because it's anticipated you will be making 50-70 calls each work day to clients. This was pretty questionable but part of the job daily.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Wake Forest, NC)
Interview
Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.

What is a recent piece of feedback you were given and how did you implement it
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
