Submitted an online application and received an invitation to interview with them over the phone. I interviewed with someone who had been with the company for a few years already and I was not impressed by her ability to "sell" the Yelp company to me. I really believe that job interviewing is a two-way street, and I was not at all excited or compelled about working for Yelp. Also, the base pay is ridiculously low (esp. for living in California). I would definitely encourage Yelp to improve its interviewing process and change the way they present themselves, especially if they want high-quality candidates. I decided not to pursue the next round of interviews.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Wake Forest, NC)
Interview
Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
