First you do a phone interview and if they like you they invite you to a second interview. The second video interview is with a sales manager and they tell you before the interview you don’t need to know any* product knowledge! Once your video interview starts you immediately jump into sales calls- what you heard and you critique it. Then you do a sales call yourself. If you don’t know the product you won’t get hired. Definitely ask for feedback once you do your pitch. I did not get hired, the second interview was very misleading from the email I received saying that I didn’t need to know about yelp product! Oh well! Good luck to you
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2026
Interview
Interview was smooth. I was given good information about pay, culture, and what is expected of an inside sales representative on typical day. I was also allowed to ask question.
Everyone was super nice and very clearly proud of Yelp culture. The communication was quick and clear on expectations of the interview and onboarding process. Both the recruiter and the hiring managers were very insightful about the business and offered great feedback to my mock call.

Question 1
They had me run through a mock sales call twice with feedback in between.
It was okay, the salary is quite low and does not match the market for similar roles. I think that the actual interview is not hard, but it is hard to stay motivated knowing the salary number.
