I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2014
Interview
Overall, I had a very positive experience interviewing with Yelp. The phone interview and in person interview were conducted within a week of one and other. Yelp recruiters send information to you via e-mail regarding the position. As long as you review it, and as long as you are very interested in a cold-calling position, the interview is fairly easy.

Question 1
There is a role play portion of the in-person interview. My suggestion is to review cold-calling tips prior to the interview.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
