I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yelp in Feb 2014
Interview
My phone interview was pretty simple and straightforward. They're just making sure you can speak clearly over the phone and have a good attitude. The second interview, via Skype, was pretty good since I read about what to expect. I think the main thing hear is to study all of the services which Yelp offers so that you have a ton of ammunition when they ask you questions about their services. Also, TAKE NOTES. Feedback is so important for this company and each interviewer will ask you what the previous one said.

What would your friends say about you, which you wouldn't agree with?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
