I had a phone interview with Yelp. I was not impressed with the turnaround time to hear back from the recruiter, it took her several days to respond to emails so it was difficult to plan a date to speak. The actual phone interview went well, I was asked a lot of good questions and told about the culture and engineering department at Yelp. It went well and I was given a writing exercise to complete. It was a sample interview email to a candidate, a day of recruiting events for Stanford Engineering, and listing the ways that Yelp engineering is superior to Facebook or Twitter engineering.

I had a phone interview in October 2020 which was truly friendly. It took about 30 min and I had question especially related to my background and challenges that I've encountered and resolved.
