I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
I filled out an online application online on 3/7 and received an email invitation on 3/8 to complete the video interview online. I read through glass door for previous questions, which I found very helpful and prepared answers based on those questions. I had several scenarios in mind for each as well. I completed the video interview on 3/11. I was very nervous about doing the interview because I don't like watching videos of myself. The process was actually really great. You have practice rounds where you are able to see a sample question and practice responding and then watch yourself to see how you did. I did these many times to prepare myself and make sure I was in good light, etc.
Once the interview starts you have 30 seconds to read the question and prepare your response. Then at the end of 30 seconds the video starts recording. You can "mute" the video for lack of better term so you don't have to watch yourself recording. Then you have 3 minutes to answer the question, which is actually more than enough time. There were 6 questions to answer and you don't get to review or rerecord during the interview.
I received an email response on 3/15 inviting me out for an interview in Houston the following week. I called to schedule the interview and flight and am currently sat at the airport waiting to fly to Houston!
