After applying online, I got an email to do a video interview. It was my first time doing one so I was super nervous. I suggest you practice looking into the camera, smile the entire time and try to make it as personal. There are 6 questions, you have about 30 seconds to record your answer. Keep it simple and to the point. Dress the part! If you are a female, have your hair pulled back and don't over do the make up!
A week after doing the video interview (which I totally thought I bombed), I received an email inviting me to San Francisco for a f2f. On the flight to SF, I sat next to a girl who was also interviewing.
The morning of the interview we got there 1 hour early, make sure you do the same so you can get to know the other candidates.
Be confident, happy, and yourself! Everyone is also little nervous so talking to everyone really helps.
Everyone got individually called into a different room for a one on one interview after watching a power point presentation and the Flight Attendant hiring crew giving you all the details.
The one on one went great, the lady who interviewed me was super friendly and didn't make me nervous at all. Use the STAR format to answer all questions, smile, and feel free to have a couple questions prepared for the person interviewing you.
The first interview went by pretty quick, and then she walked me into a small room with a couple other candidates. The day started with 12 of us, after the first interview only 6 of us were left.
Here comes the nerve wrecking panel interview! I was brought into a conference room, with the two big bosses. They were extremely intimidating, and made me feel very self cautious. They asked me some hard questions, and examined my resume bit by bit. They questioned everything on there, so make sure you know when what happened on your resume! After that they said I would get an email within 7 days.. got the email today, no offer:(
Good luck to all you FA Hopefuls! Check out thefalife.com for more details
