I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines
Interview
Please note that United's hiring process may prioritize external diversity candidates as part of their efforts to improve diversity and inclusion, which is likely one of the metrics emphasized by their new Chief of Diversity and Inclusion. It's important to be aware that they might continue the interview process with you, even if they have already determined that you won't be selected for the position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2025
Interview
Had a short Teams call with the hiring manager directly. Seemed to go ok, then ghosted for well over a month, despite being an employee referral. I may hear something eventually, but it's been crickets.
One-way video assessments with questions that would be better answered in a conversation. Either they are way too simple or too complex to answer in a video recording. Additionally, undependable communication - before, during, and after - it's frustrating.

Question 1
Describe a project from beginning to implementation - explain challenges faced and eventual outcome.
Process was pretty smooth. The recruiter was communicative and everything that I was told to expect happened. The timeline that was given stayed on track. There were multiple rounds of interviews with various team members.
