I applied online in September and went through 5 interview processes at different times. The entire process took a month. 1. HR interview: HR contacted me via phone a day after applying for this position. It was a standard interview to gauge my interest, skills, and cultural fit for the job, and I was moved on to the next phase to discuss with the hiring Manager. 2. Hiring Manager (3yrs): This was a Teams meeting, and I had my video on throughout the session. However, the Manager didn't put on their camera nor provide an excuse until 15 mins before the end of the interview. The interview gauges my leadership skills and several IT projects I have worked on compared with the role's function. I provided a series of examples using the STAR format; overall, it went great. I was informed a few hours later by HR that the interview was successful and was moving to the next phase of the interview. Note: I was simultaneously scheduled for two interviews with an audit manager and director and coffee chats with two team members. 3. Audit Manager (8yrs) and Director (22yrs): Standard behavioral questions. Both interviewers had their cameras on. Again, following the STAR methodology for responses, I maintained enthusiasm and ensured I asked questions about the organization's growth, executive leadership involvement in the audit practice, culture, and its pain points. 4. Two Sr Auditors (2 years experience): Laidback as expected. Both interviewers had their cameras on. Discuss different projects, experiences, and lifestyles as they were in other locations. I sent a thank you message to all interviewers and waited another week to be contacted by HR for another interview after a follow-up email. HR reached out via phone to inform me they will schedule me for a technical interview. 5. Director (26yrs) and Sr Data Analyst (5mo): Similar behavioral questions followed STAR methodology for my responses. Only the Director had their camera on throughout the interview. Two technical questions asked were on the projects I have worked on, mainly auditing cloud applications and my MFA knowledge. *Yrs or Mo: Number of years or Months with United Airlines. After a few days, I was contacted and informed I wasn't selected for the position. I reached out to HR for feedback and was informed that I didn't meet the technical requirement for the role, and the conclusion was based on the Sr Data Analyst's opinion. HR person mentioned the team was willing to give me a Sr. Auditor role if I was interested. Out of curiosity about the entire process, I told HR it was good, and we should proceed, and I have not heard back since. I don't think the interview process was fair enough, considering the number of interviews and the time it took to prepare for each one, but I eventually got rejected.
