Bad culture, unorganized hiring process, and a giant waste of time for the candidate.
United airlines recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn.
The process was 4 weeks long.
1st round: hr assessment
2nd round: online assessment that includes an easy leetcode problem and virtual meeting with a tech lead , the hiring manager, and the director.
Red flag #1: One person never showed up during the interview.
Red flag #2: the hr called and said they will offer but does not give the comp number for 4 days.
Completed the online assessment with solutions that is O(n)
So-called technical interview/ virtual meeting went well.
Confirmed the expected salary range very early in the interview with the hr. However when came to the offer time hr came back with a 30% lower than the expected low number even though they keep confirming multiple times during the interview process and after. Sooo disappointed and a waste of time.
My friends warned me about their hiring practices. I wish I listened to them.
