Interview
The process was very easy. So how the process goes is you apply online, then you get sent a video assessment which is very awkward because your videoing yourself answering these questions but very easy. Just make sure you’re in a quit area. Then you get sent a video interview which they ask 1 main question then interview goes into 4 STAR questions. Which is fairly easy if you prepare for the interview. They let you know in 48-72 hours if you’ll get a F2F. They let me know the same day. When you get F2F you get name tags, with a color dots on it. They give you a presentation then introduce themselves and then let you know you’ll have 2 assessments. A reach test and then the other was a group assessment. They let you know that they don’t waste time and if you aren’t hired they’ll be letting you leave home after these assessments which only took 2 hours and half. Basically 40 people in my hiring group and they kept about maybe 10 of them and it seemed they picked 1 person from each group of the colored dots. So you want to stand out in some way in those groups with your colored dots which is like 5-6 people but not to much. About 15 active flight attendants did not get hired so just because you are a flight attendant or was one does not mean you’ll get it but doesn’t mean you won’t get it either. It seemed the ones who spoke up to much or didn’t speak up enough did not get hired. They also let you know there is no 1 on 1 interviews question, If you’ve done the video interview that was it and the in person is looking at if you can work in a group and seeing your personality.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Jan 2022
Interview
The process for me was super fast. Apply, assessment, Video interview, 1:1 interview, and last in person interview. You will be required to film yourself answering 4 questions. Once your video interview is viewed you will be invited to a video 1:1 with a recruiter they are super nice! They are asking behavioral STAR method questions. If you pass the 1:1 you will get an invitation to the in person interview in Houston Tx. The in person interview is different it has many moving parts with a group of people. Smile and talk to everyone! It was the most funnest and nicest interview I’ll probably ever have everyone is friendly. Work with your group and others! For each I heard back about a day after but everyone is different. Be friendly!!
