I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2009
Interview
Recruiter has no retail background (researched) & yet Target entrusts to find highly qualified candidates. 20+ yrs of retail management experience & proven top 10% results. I was told & I quote, "I am not what they are looking for". end of story no furher discussion. Target will come to realize experience far out ways a degree when it is to late!
It was online through HireVue. It was pretty simply process since its online and they just send you emails for updates. They do take long periods of time though to get back to you on updates and such.
Everything was done online, never saw anyone in person. Very easy and interesting questions. Seemed they were aimed at gauging your interests and, in some ways, a passion towards electronic products.
Standard process, STAR method is good to use in interviews like this. Wear nice clothing not too dressed up not too formal and be friendly. Positive environment not super high pressure
