    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target in September 2012.

    Interview

met a guy who's been working at target for 20 years and after getting to know each other, he told me there was a new branch opening and he encouraged me to apply for the ETL(said he was pretty sure i'd get the job, and he could see me fit in with the target culture) he was also part of HR in target…so i thought i might as well see what's up. so I applied online for the ETL and wrote him as a referral, and was contacted in less than a week by E-mail then Phone to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was about 30-40 minutes. First they ask me to tell them about myself, then asked questions like why target, what do you like about target (which I didn't give a good answer to…since I didn't do any research), and a few leadership questions such as have you ever lead a team, tell us about a time you had to lead a team but there was conflict, what are your strengths/weaknesses, what kind of leader do you see yourself as, what do you do when someone doesn't agree with you. They also asked expected salary and expected working hours.
