After being redundant in 2015 I sent my CV to our competitors. I received a reply from global measurement manager at SGS asking about my status and he wanted to know if I can do a work for them, as they were missing an expertise. Couple of emails exchanged and after a week I was invited for a phone interview with the manager and project leader to discuss the work. Three weeks after interview I was asked to start working on a project. Showing a good progress with the work I was invited to Aberdeen to meet with manager and discussed further work with project engineer. Three weeks after I was hired on permanent basis. The whole process took two months from initial contact to hiring.
