      Yet to BE Assigned Interview

      20 Sept 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Bengaluru
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SAP (Bengaluru) in Sept 2013

      Interview

There were totally 5 ronds viz: 1 apti,2 technical interviews,1 managerial,1HR of which apti took place on the 1st day. Apti:it consisted of seperate sections of quant, technical, verbal, analytical and coding. all the sections were almost moderate in the level of difficulty.quant and technical were general with a bit stress on databases.Again analytical was easy. Technical 1: here i was first asked to write a simple code/algorithm to display unique elements in an array which i did.then he asked me of ways with which i could improve the code basically the time complexity.then he asked me about OLTP and gave me a situation of booking in an irctc website in that context. Then he gave me a simple puzzle and then a situation in which i was the cm of uttarakhand and asked for my stand on development there given the recent disaster.asked me to explain my project Technical 2: it was d most difficult round where concentration is given on dbms and especially normal forms.next question was on memory management and scheduling in os.he also asked me to draw a layered architecture of my project in c++.asked me about data mining and warehousing. Managerial:here i was questioned mainly from software engineering like software development lifecycles, milestones, deliverables, quality, validation, etc. here they asked me how i approached my project and the differences i encountered b/w the 2 projects i had on my cv. hr:normal hr stuff like what/who ur motivation/inspiration and why, then asked my ways ways of handling negative feedback from professors/peers,my openness for various profiles offered by the company.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

would be the questions from database.if ur basics r ok then u'll be fine.and the code that had to be written in the coding part of the apti.a gcc compiler was provided where u had to code and run.
