Was asked some basic questions pertaining to my knowledge of animals, customer service, etc. It was probably about 30 minutes long and pretty basic. I'd say it's the typical process for a first job for a teenager.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at PetSmart (Spokane, WA) in Aug 2015
Interview
I applied online initially but did not get a reply, so I then went into the store with a resume and personally talked to a manager. A few days later I got a call for an interview. The interview was pretty casual- I sat down with the store manager and she asked me a few questions about my knowledge of pets, my work experience, and if I saw myself sticking with the company.

Question 1
How much do you know about taking care of small animals?
very simple, one on one interview. asks basic questions! felt like talking to a friend instead of having a tense interview. got to know my manager in the process which was nice.
I applied online. I interviewed at PetSmart (Oakville, ON)
Interview
I applied online and had an interview with the assistant store leader. I was supposed to have another interview with the store leader but they called me with the job offer before that. The interview happened in the dog training room.
