      Seasonal Sales Associate Interview

      9 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PetSmart (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2025

      Interview

The interview process was very unorganized. I was asked to come in for a noon interview. When I got to the store, there was a lineup of candidates who were all interviewing at noon. The actual interview was short and not overly organized; most of the questions were very generic and not about my job skills, but about my character, which is fine, but I would have thought they would have wanted to know about past experiences, especially as I have 10+ years of retail experience.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PetSmart (Knoxville, TN) in Oct 2012

      Interview

Filled out an applicational online and a few days later I got a call to come in for an interview. Spoke with the operations manager and the questions were pretty basic and really laid back. Finished up with him asking me when I could come in for a 2nd interview and so we set that up for the next day with the store manager. Came back and he asked me just a couple questions, apparently I had impressed the op manager so much the previous day that the decision to hire was already made.

      Question 1

What has been your biggest achievement? What has been your biggest failure? If you we're sitting in my seat (the interviewer), what would you like to know about the applicant that isn't on a resume or application? Why pet smart?
