Sadly, this was a very long, drawn-out process with very little communication between myself, HR, and the hiring team. It was all conducted remotely via Zoom/Microsoft Teams.
I had an initial screening interview with HR/talent acquisition. This was then followed by an astounding 7 individual interviews with various team members over the course of a month. Each interview was pretty straightforward with easy questions for anyone who's worked in project management and at ad agencies before.
All interviews I thought went well, and I received positive feedback from HR. Then weeks went by and I heard nothing. I was thinking I would receive a job offer after a total of 8 interviews and such positive feedback. I followed up several times and finally, after another month I heard they moved on with someone else. I've never had that many interviews and gotten so far into an interview process to be ghosted.
This is unfortunate because Ogilvy has some really dynamic, smart people working for them, and they are industry leaders in advertising. They were at the top of my list to interview with throughout my career. But their lack of an organized interview structure and lack of respect for candidates' time put into each interview is very apparent.
