Inadequate staffing Poor management and managers Lots of over time No credit given, no financial rewards or promotions either Competition over collaboration Don't promote internally, pay external talent high packages to come in No work life balance Too much politics No company culture Micromanagement from inexperienced managers Lack of team bonding Very high turnover Top down decision making Haphazard human resource policies, executed overnight No involvement of human resources in appraisals Unclear roles and goals Conflict clients across departments No accountability, extra pressure on high performers Scope creep and lots of it Lack of training (read above on lack of good managers who have the knowledge needed to train) You have to fight tooth and nail for everything at Ogilvy, from your raises, to staying within your job description, to building your own career, to even asking to start and leave meetings on time.
