      Risk Advisory Interview

      18 Aug 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Hyderābād
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 2 days. I interviewed at EY (Hyderābād) in Mar 2010

      Interview

The interview process described below is a campus placement process. It happened in March 2010. We all (students of Bhavans College, Sainikpuri, Hyderabad) were excited that Ernst & Young was coming to our college to recruit students. There were 2 openings: 1 for risk advisory position and the other one for internship program for CA students. This is with regard to Risk Advisory. The HR people conducted a briefing on the 1st day. We were explained about the company's functional divisions, policies, expected salary and our responsibilities as members of Ernst & Young. That day they collected our resumes so that they could get them screened and select the candidates that were to be interviewed. The selected candidates were called to the ENY office the next day. The 1st round consisted of a Group Discussion round with approx. 6 candidates in each room. The GD was on a topic given. Mine was something related to media and controversies created by them - ethical or unethical. The candidates who got shortlisted were then asked to attend a HR round that day itself. HR round was pretty easy: few questions about your family background, your interest in ENY, your career objectives, etc...3 people from my college got shortlisted: me and 2 of my friends. We were asked to attend a technical round which was held after 3 days at ENY office in Hi-Tech city. The candidates from other colleges were also there. The technical round was quite disheartening: The HR asked accounts related questions few of which I couldn't answer. Questions were related to inventory management, some journal entries, etc...I think they were also testing our personality. To my surprise, after an hour or so the HR came with the results and declared 2 candidates: Me and someone from Aurora college. They asked us to sign a contract of 2 years and offered a stipend of Rs.180000. Sadly I had to reject the offer as it was a 2 year contract and I was heading to a different direction. Help this helps to prospective candidates
