They outsource their recruiting service and bring in candidates who fit the profile of the firm. It was highly unorganized because the recruiter they subcontracted to left the firm in the middle of the hiring process. Fortunately the Booz Allen Associates (three of them) with whom I interviewed with, made it a point to keep in contact with me throughout the process.

One interview with 3 people. Just resume focused. I applied for a Mid Level role, so they asked me about some of the school senior projects as well, why do i want to work here, all that good stuff

The process is competitive and has many steps to it. They really care about how you would fit within the team along with your skills and experience. You do end up meeting quite a few people as you move through the process.
