I interviewed for a mid-level position and was interviewed by a senior architect and a principal architect. The interview was largely technical and based on my resume. The interviewers were professional and conversational, which made the experience comfortable overall.
However, the depth of the technical questions felt more aligned with a senior or lead-level role rather than a mid-level position. The questions went significantly deeper than what was outlined in the job description, and at times it felt like the expectations did not match the level of the role.
While I appreciated the interviewers’ expertise and approach, I would recommend better alignment between the job description and the interview expectations to ensure candidates are evaluated appropriately for the intended level.
