I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2012
Interview
Applied online and received an email about four days later saying that I've successfully moved onto the next stage, then to complete the teller assessment. The assessment consisted of multiple parts (it's timed so you cannot pause the clock once you start). Once the assessment was completed, I received a call from HR the next day confirming my availability. She scheduled me for a group interview for which I got to pick one of two time frames. In addition, had to fill out a background check form which must be completely accurate.
The group interview was two weeks after the call, in which I attended. There were about 9 people being interviewed by the recruiter, while a panel of different branch managers sit around to observe the candidates. The interview was simple and included giving a quick rundown of your resume, career goals in 2 years, and the big group question (usually "describe a time when.."). There was also role playing in which we were tellers suggesting a product to the customer. After we were able to ask questions with the recruiter, then mingle with the branch managers. I was smiling and energetic throughout the interview, stressed the importance of customer service being a first priority. Received positive feedback from the managers and recruiter and was extended an offer the next day. Now waiting on the background check results!

I applied online. I interviewed at Bank of America (Wheaton, MD)
Interview
The first conversation was over the phone with the recruiter. Then they connected me with a branch manager for an in person interview. I had a third interview at another location an then got the job offer.
It was short. I did a phone interview and the. I did an in-person interview. It was short. Phone then in person. It was short. First phone, then in person.
The interview was very straightforward and simple, they didn’t ask too many unusual questions and the questions they did ask were easy to answer. The total time was less than an hour, and I was able to make another appointment by the end of the workday.
